  4. Boil 1.5 cups of water and keep it ready
  5. Heat a small pressure cooker
  6. Add oil + ghee, fry cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, fennel seeds and cumin seeds
  7. Once they start to splutter, add chopped onions, green chilli and ginger garlic paste
  8. Saute till onions turn light brown
  9. Add beetroot pieces and green peas. Mix well for a couple of minutes
  10. Add dry spice powders and mix well
  11. Add basmati rice and give it a quick mix with the veggies
  12. Add hot water, salt and mix well
  13. Let it start to boil vigorously
  14. Close the lid and put the whistle. Keep the flame in medium.
  15. After the first whistle, reduce the flame to low and wait for 2 minutes
  16. Switch off the flame and let the pressure release on its own
  17. Serve hot with any raita of your choice
