Hari maash ki daal is urad dal ( split black gram -white) that is cooked on low flame in pot and then is mixed with coriander and green chillies paste, with out any tempering. Yes its true, without any tempering.

  1. Take 1 and 1/2 cup urad daal (split black/ green gram- white)
  2. Prepare 6 ..8.hole red chilli
  3. Get small bunch of coriander leaves
  4. Get 7-8 green chillies 8 – 10 cloves of garlic
  5. Get 1 tsp cumin seeds salt
  6. Prepare Desi ghee (clarified)
  7. Make ready pinch turmeric

Urad daal is very easy to make and delicious. Sukhi urad dal is a very good tiffin option where in you can pack in some protein without making a messy affair. Now add daal and lemon juice, mix very gently. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with coriander.

Steps to make Hari Maash daal / urad daal &

Bajry ki roti:

  1. Wash and soak white urad dal for about half an hour.
  2. Now in a deep pan, add daal, pinch of turmeric powder with 4 -5 cups of water and boil daal on low flame with half lid covered until daal is completely done.
  3. ( you can add 1 – 2 cups of water if the water has dried up but still daal is yet to be cooked completely
  4. Wash coriander leaves thoroughly, and grind it with cumin seeds, green chillies and garlic in a food processor or motar.
  5. Once the daal is completely cooked add this green paste with salt,add 1 cup of water in the food processor and pour onto daal and mix well.
  6. Add 2 – 3 tbsp ghee and let it simmer for 10 minutes,off the gas once daal has become thick and it's mesmerizing aroma has spread all over your place
  7. Serve hot with bajra roti with hand crushed raw onions. green chutney
