- Prepare 1/4 spoon asafoetida
- Take 1/4 spoon Turmeric powder
- Get 1/2 spoon dry mango powder
- Make ready 1/2 spoon chilli powder
- Make ready 2 green chilli (optional)
- Get 1 spoon rasam powder
- Take 1 piece jaggery
- Get 1/4 cup peanut powder
- Prepare leaves Few Coriander
- Take to taste Salt
Finally add the ground paste and when the Bittergourd(Paavakaai) Theeyal starts boiling switch off the flame. Wash the bitter gourd, cut it lengthwise and remove all seeds. Chop it in to thin slices not pieces. Bitter gourd palya is now ready to be served.
Steps to make Bitter gourd rasam:
- Heat the kadai,add oil, bitter gourd and fry them. Close the lid cook 2 minutes.
- Add chopped tomato, green chilli and mix them
- Add water and boiled them.
- Add Turmeric powder, chilli powder,rasam powder, dry mango powder,salt and Jaggery.
- Add peanuts powder,and add water, adjust rasam consistency.
- Add coriander leaves.and mix.
- Heat tadka pan add Oil, mustard, bydagi chilli asafoetida and curry leaves and fry. Tempering ready and Add to rasam.
