- In a vessel take 2 cups water add cumin, salt, ginger and chillies paste. Let it boil add sooji and mix. Turn off the gas.

- In a pan take oil add mustard, cumin,chopped curry leaves, chana dal, urad dal, hing, red chilli flakes and add steamed pattice and just mix well.
- Serve hot. Garnish with carrot juliennes.
