chana dal fry with step by step photo recipe: firstly, in a cooker take oil and add the tempering ingredients. (mustard, jeera, red chilli, hing and curry leaves). Also Known as Split Bengal gram. - The flour is half cooked now with hot water. Cover it with a damp cloth.
- Drain water from soaked dal and add the dal, ginger, garlic and green chillies to blender and blend to a smooth paste
- Transfer dal to a bowl and add salt and all the spices. Mix well.
- Take portion of dough and make a ball
- Flatten ball with the rolling pin applying some dry flour and cut circals with the help of a steel glass.
- Fill 1 tsp filling in each disk and fold it half like a crescent shape.
- Prepare all fara like this and keep aside covering.
- Steam it for 15-20mins.
- When ready, serve this steamed farra hot.
