  1. Take 400 Grams Paneer
  2. Take 1 Large Red Onion (Quartered & flaked)
  3. Take 1 Large Bell pepper (Any Color) Cubed
  4. Make ready 1 Large Tomato (Quartered & deseeded)
  5. Get 4 Tbsp Thick yogurt
  6. Take 1 Tbsp Vinegar
  7. Make ready 2 Tsp Tandoori/ BBQ Masala (I use MDH)
  8. Take 1 Tsp Turmeric powder
  9. Prepare As per taste Salt
  10. Get 1 Tsp Chaat Masala
  11. Make ready 1 Tsp Ginger Paste
  12. Prepare 1 Tsp Garlic Paste
  13. Make ready 1 Tsp Cooking Oil

But here it is the chunks of Indian cheese. These chunks are marinated in spiced yogurt along with diced onions and capsicum so they absorb the flavors. Paneer Tikka is one of my favourite Indian restaurant dishes. If you've never had it before, it's cooked in a hot and smokey tandoor Just to note, I have occasionally seen a SOFT version of Paneer, more like a cottage cheese.

Instructions to make Paneer Tikka | BBQ Indian Cottage Cheese:
  1. Cut the Paneer into thick rectangles. Soak the Paneer pieces in hot water for about 10 minutes.
  2. Cut the Bell Pepper & Onion into large chunks. Cut the Tomatoes in quarters & deseed it. Flake the Onions. Keep aside.
  3. Prepare the marinade by combining the yogurt, vinegar, ginger paste, garlic paste, salt, turmeric, chilli powder & tandoori masala.
  4. Drain the water. Prick the paneer pieces with the help of a toothpick.
  5. Add the marinade. Mix well to coat. Keep covered until you are ready to grill.
  6. Preheat Electric Grill or heat a Grill Pan. *I used an Indoor Electric Grill for the Paneer & a Grill Pan for the Veggies.
  7. Grease the plates of the Grill &/or the Grill Pan with the cooking oil.
  8. Cook for 5-7 minutes or until grill marks appear on the Tikkas & the Veggies are slightly charred.
  9. Sprinkle Chaat Masala.
  10. Enjoy hot with Green Chutney!
  11. Note: Soaking the Paneer in Hot Water, keeps it soft & supple. Doesn’t let it get rubbery.
