- Heat up oil in a pressure cooker, fry wadi till it's golden brown, keep aside.
- In the same oil, add cumin seeds and whole garam masala, after few seconds add onions.
- When onion changes the colour, add ginger garlic paste and very little water. Continue frying on medium heat.
- Add peas along with turmeric, salt, chilli, coriander and garam masala powder.
- Add finely chopped/grated tomatoes, fry till tomatoes are softened.
- Add soaked and drained the rice and fried wadi(you can lightly crush and add wadi). Fry on high heat for 2 minutes. Add shredded coriander stems and leaves.
- Add 3 cups of boiling water. Give it a good stir. Pressure cook for high till one whistle blows, simmer for 5 minutes and switch off the flame.
- When cool gently stir. Serve with raita, pickle and salad.
