Instructions to make Witzy (from Suzy's Zoo) Cookies:
- Preparation: Sift the flour. Soften the butter in the microwave for about 20 seconds.
- Knead the butter until it becomes creamy. Add the sugar and mix well.
- Beat the egg, then add to Step 2. Once mixed, add the flour and knead by hand until no longer powdery.
- Divide the dough into four pieces. Add a lot of cocoa powder to the piece for the eyes, red food coloring for one for the cheeks, and yellow and red food coloring into the one for the eyes and feet.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll the dough out to about 3~5 mm thick and make all the parts. When you prepare all the parts for one duck, it's like this!
- Stick the head onto the body, then the feet, then the facial features. Use a knife to make slits for the hands (wings?).
- Bake in an oven preheated to 170℃ for 10~13 minutes.
- Done! The baking times may vary depending on your oven, so please keep an eye on it and adjust as needed.
- Key point: For the head and body, cut out fan-shaped pieces and round out the corners to make a nice shape!
- Addendum: When dividing up the dough, the plain dough should be the biggest, followed by the orange, then the pink and black, which should be about equal.
