It is cooked by using easily available ingredients like rajma (kidney beans) rice, onions, tomatoes and a selection of spices. Steps to make Rajma and Rice:
  1. For rajma-Fry the paste of material in oil or ghee, add spices according to taste, add boiled rajma in it, Let it cook for 10 minutes. Close the gas and serve with rice.
  2. For boiled rice- take water add salt according to taste, when water began to boil add washed rice in it and half cover With lid, gas should be slow, When water is absorbed close the gas and cover the lid completely. After 5minuts serve the rice with rajma.

While the rajma is cooking, we are also cooking rice simultaneously. So rajma curry and chawal will be. Rajma chawal is a complete dish apt for lunch and dinners. It is made using rajma that is red kidney beans or small red beans and eaten along with rice/chawal. In Delhi, rajma is always eaten with rice, popularly known as "rajma-chawal".
