Gushtaba is a traditional Kashmiri dish made with minced meat and cook in curd. Gushtaba (Minced Mutton Prepared in Curd) Daniwal Korma is a luxurious meat korma bursting with refreshing flavours of coriander and tangy tasty of yoghurt. Rista-gushtaba (meat ball fired and cooked in red gravy) comprises of food that is made during special occasions in Kashmir.
Steps to make Gushtaba (meat balls):
- Make a paste of tomatoes and poppy seed separately.. cut the potatoes in cubes and keep a side
- In a pot heat oil now add slice onion and saute till golden brown colour
- Now add tomato paste, ginger garlic paste, curd and poppy seed paste mix it well
- Add 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala and Coriander powder mix it well.. add water and saute until oil comes above
- In a big bowl add mince along with all remaining spices & chopped onion mix it well all the things and make a small balls
- Now add these balls in a gravy along with potatoes cubes mix well add water and cooked till it's become soft and tender
- When it's become soft adjust a gravy in thick consistency topped with coriander leaves and serve
- Serve hot with slice onion and curd
