- Mix all together to make a smooth, soft and sticky dough.
- Cover it with a fitting lid, a damp cloth and place it in a warm place to rise for about 1 hour or doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and transfer to a working surface.
- Roll out the dough to about thickness of a quarter of inch.
- Put some chicken fillings at the center of the dough from top to bottom. Leaving abt 2inch from top to bottom.
- Use a pizza cutter or a knife to make about 10-12 strips of about a cutter to a half inch wide of the both sides of the dough, still leaving the 2inch space both the top and bottom.
- Make sure you have the same number of strips to the both sides.
- Fold the 2inch top dough over the fillings and start to braid crisscrossing the strips you have made.(place one strip of dough one side over another on the other side). Continue to braid down the dough, until the loaf is formed.
- Fold the bottom part over the fillings and crisscross the remaining strips over the folded dough, then pinch the dough to secure it.
- Sprinkle some flour to the pan, and grease a little butter. Lift the braided loaves gently to the pan, and leave to rise for another 30mins.
- Preheat your oven to 350°c and baked about 20-25mins, until golden brown.
- Greaze the top with butter for a shiny look.
