Kala Chana is a mildly spiced black chickpeas curry made in the instant pot or a stovetop pressure cooker. Instant Pot Kala Chana is so easy to prepare and yet so delicious.   4. After 5 minutes, mash it properly in pastel to turn it into a paste.

  6. Then take a pressure cooker, add drained Chana in it with ample amount of water & 1 Teaspoon Salt.
  7. Now close the lid & give 2 Whistles on high flame & 4-5 whistles on low flame.
  8. After 6-7 whistles turn off the flame & let the pressure cooker depressurise naturally.
  9. After some time, open the lid & strain out the water from Chana & keep both of them separate but don’t throw that water away it’s very healthy use it as gravy.
  10. Now Add 2 Table Spoon Desi Ghee in same cooker & keep the gas on low flame.
  11. When ghee gets heated up, add 1 Teaspoon Jeera & 1 Pinch Hing in it & let them sizzle.
  12. When they start sizzling, add Chana water in it & let it boil.
  13. When it starts boiling, add spices mix & anardna paste in it & cook them for 1-2 minutes.
  14. After 1-2 minutes, add drained Chana in it, half cover the lid & cook them for 5-6 minutes so that water little amount of gravy gets depleted.
  15. After 5-6 minutes, when gravy is at bottom of Chana but not completely depleted add chopped Ginger & Green Chilli slices in it & mix them properly.
  16. Your Kala Chana is ready to be served.
