  1. Heat oil in a pot and add diced onion, allow to fry a little bit.
  2. Mix tomato paste with water and pour into hot oil. Fry till dry then add blended shombo and onions and allow to fry again.
  3. Add the spices to the fried tomato mix.
  4. Add the seasonings,stock and just enough water to soften the rice. Taste and allow to boil.
  5. Add Parboiled rice to the pot, stir a little and reduce heat then cover the pot.
  6. When the water in the rice is almost finished, cover the rice with bagco sack then place the pot cover. This will allow the rice to steam slowly thereby making it very soft without having to add water at intervals.
  7. When you're satisfied with the softness of your rice,drop from heat and serve with chicken/beef sauce or any type of salad.
