  2. In a pan take 2 and half cups of sugar add 1cup of water, on medium flame,let sugar dissolve and boil
  3. Now add cornflour mixture to this slowly on low flame keep stirring,
  4. When this becomes glossy add 2tbsp of ghee keep stirring, after 10 minutes add again 2tbsp of ghee keep stirring untill it becomes super glossy.
  5. Now shift half of the mixture to a separate pan on low flame, add different desired food colour to both the pans, add 1tbsp of ghee to each pan continue stirring
  6. When ghee starts releasing pour both two different coloured mixture to two different greased trays
  7. Let it cool for 30 minutes cut both different colour halwa in to square pieces
  8. Arrange one above the other garnish with walnuts or any nuts of your choice.

This Halwa requires less ghee while compared to other halwa's. Corn flour halwa is one of the easiest halwa recipes. I have tried corn flour halwa with milk as suggested by Shalini. But I haven't tried Mumbai Karachi halwa style. I am now into the habit of posting an easy halwa recipe whenever there is a milestone post in my blog.
