Steps to make Shipi Amti:

- Soak all the dals for 1hour and pressure cook them for 6-8 whistles. Cool them and grind into mixer.

- Dry roast khada garam masala-ie-bay leaf, pepper, cinnamon and cloves and grind them coarsely.

- Roast onions, coconut, ginger and garlic on little oil till dark brown. Cool them and make a fine paste in mixie.
- 4)Keep water for boiling. This amti is very liquid so we have taken 10 katoris of water. If you want to make less quantity, reduce amount of dals and masalas.

- To make amti, heat oil in the vessel and then add jeera.Now add curry leaves and onion coconut masala. Roast for 4-5min.

- Now add haldi, red chilli powder,all masala powders and grinded masala powder. Saute for 2min.

- To this add dal paste and hot water.

- Lastly add salt and bring it to boil. Let it boil for 5min.

- Add chopped coriander before serving, and have it hot.
