  5. Make ready 2 (1+1), cups Water -
  6. Prepare 1 tsp, Cardamom powder-
  7. Make ready 1 tsp Lemon juice

Instructions to make Bombay Halwa or Corn  Flour Halwa:
  1. In a large mixing bowl take corn flour (1/2 cup) & water (1 cup),mix well without any lump's & keep aside.
  2. In a non - stick pan take sugar(1 cup) & add water (1 cup)
  3. After boiled the syrup, pour corn flour mixture into sugar syrub.
  4. The mixture starts to boil & thicken,immediately add 1 tsp of lemon.
  5. Keep stirring till mixture thicken completely,add 1 tsp of ghee.
  6. Mix continuously till all ghee is absorbed & add another spoon of ghee
  7. It's start turning transparent & releasing ghee from sides.
  8. Add food colour, cardamom powder & cashew nuts
  9. Continue to mix till mixture will start to a lump's.
  10. Later,transfer the mixer to tray,let's it set to 1 hour then cut into square.
  11. Ready to serve.

I have tried corn flour halwa with milk as suggested by Shalini. But I haven't tried Mumbai Karachi halwa style. How to make bombay halwa or.
